In the region of 17,500 individuals leave the Armed forces each year. Many of these people will have served in operational theatres, often in more than one theatre and often more than once.
"Many Veterans and their families trying to cope alone. Clearly we need to provide greater after care to those who have served in the Armed Forces. This is something that I feel very committed to which is why I have given my support to the British Legion pledge."
