Adam Boyden is the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for the Somerton & Frome Constituency. He lives in Frome and is a councillor on Mendip District Council.
Many people will know Adam as an active, experienced and hardworking local district councillor in Frome who has worked across party lines to improve disabled facilities, health services, leisure centres and green spaces, and to protect the environment against fracking, flytipping and climate change.
Adam said "After the disappointment of the general election I am still ready to take on the challenge of fighting in Somerton & Frome to protects services and defend our communities from cuts. I will campaign with anyone, for the whole community, to help people on any problem that needs fixing.
“As a local councillor for 8 years I have seen how politics can change lives for the better if we do things the right way. As one of your local councillors I will work, listen and stand up for local people. I will strive to build trust in our party as a force for good, build alliances, and make a real difference on the issues that matter.
I and the Liberal Democrats will campaign to get action on climate change and for a fairer economy, a good society, social justice and sustainable development, for liberty, equality and community and against poverty, ignorance and conformity, xenophobia and extremism. This is what we stand for, these are our priorities and our values. This is what our local communities needs now more than ever.
